I’m Jay Meinero. I’ve been buying and selling online since 2000. I started as a hobbyist, mostly buying inventory based on my gut and what I liked. Over the last 26 years, I’ve turned that into a full-time business by learning the technical side of the industry.
I’ve sold through just about every major channel out there: eBay, Amazon, Walmart, even Amazon and Yahoo! Auctions back in the day. Beyond marketplaces, I’ve built and SEO-optimized my own websites to sell products directly to customers. My inventory comes from brand-authorized wholesalers and suppliers.
The biggest change in my business has been the move from "gut feeling" to data. I don't guess what will sell anymore. Before I put money into a product, I use Keepa and Terapeak to look at the actual sales history and price stability. If the data isn't there, I don't buy it.
